Growing up in a construction family in Poland, Robert learned the trade at an early age while working alongside his father and relatives on residential and commercial projects. What began as a family tradition evolved into a lifelong career that has taken him across Europe, the United States, and ultimately Nicaragua.
With decades of hands-on experience in construction, project management, and renovations, he brings a practical, solutions-oriented approach to every project. Together with his wife, Agnes, he founded the company in Nicaragua after recognizing a need for high-quality construction services and reliable project execution.
Today, they lead a team of more than 50 professionals, delivering custom homes, renovations, and commercial projects throughout Nicaragua. Their reputation has been built on quality craftsmanship, transparency, and a commitment to treating every project as if it were their own.

Edward Tunney, Chief Executive Officer and founder of The Tunney Group, has over 40 years of experience developing and supervising the construction of commercial and residential properties, consistently creating value for clients and partners.
Mr. Tunney has served as a licensed real estate agent in both Illinois and Tennessee, with a deep understanding of metropolitan marketplaces. His extensive background in the hospitality industry, as a restaurant entrepreneur and manager of a premier senior living property, further enhances his expertise in administration, marketing, and financial planning for real estate projects.
Erin Tunney
Business Developer and Realtor
Erin specializes in connecting buyers with high-opportunity real estate investments both in the U.S. and internationally. With a background in development, design, and investment strategy, she brings a practical, boots-on-the-ground approach to every project she’s involved in.
Her focus is simple: identify opportunities early, remove friction for buyers, and help clients make confident, informed decisions.

About Our Founder
Construction has been a part of our founder’s family for generations. The story begins with his grandfather, Felix Rynkiewicz, who was born in Poland in 1926. During World War II, he was forced into labor at a young age and worked on farms and construction projects that supported the war effort. Through those difficult years, he learned valuable construction skills that would shape the future of his family.
After returning home to Poland following the war, Felix married and began rebuilding his community. He worked alongside his brothers constructing barns, sheds, and homes throughout northeastern Poland. His dedication to craftsmanship laid the foundation for a family tradition that continues today.
Inspired by his father’s work, the next generation entered the construction industry as well. The family developed expertise across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical work, heavy equipment operation, and building systems. Together, they built a successful construction company that completed both residential and commercial projects throughout Poland.
Growing up in this environment, our founder was introduced to construction at an early age. He spent school holidays and weekends working alongside family members, learning the trade through hands-on experience. His career eventually took him beyond Poland, working on construction projects in Germany, the United States, and Ireland. Over the years, he gained extensive experience in roofing, framing, plastering, renovations, and large-scale construction management.
In 2014, he and his wife, Agnes, took time to travel and explore new opportunities around the world. Their journey eventually brought them to Nicaragua, where they completed their first project for an American homeowner. The quality of their work quickly earned referrals, and what began as a single project soon grew into a thriving construction company.
Today, the company employs more than 50 professionals and delivers residential and commercial construction projects throughout Nicaragua. Agnes oversees interior finishes, cabinetry, vanities, closets, and design details, while her husband leads construction operations, project management, and administration.
Together, they have built a reputation for quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to client satisfaction. Their goal remains simple: to create exceptional projects while building lasting relationships based on trust, professionalism, and integrity.
With decades of international construction experience and a family legacy spanning three generations, they continue to bring expertise, passion, and dedication to every project they undertake.
